Francisco Zamorano is a Creative Director, Interaction and Motion Designer that focuses in the intersection between motion graphics, interactive and sound. Most of his background is in motion graphics but in the recent years he has geared towards experiential design. His recent work has been published in Motionographer, BoingBoing, Wired and Stash magazine, among others.
He is currently a Creative Director at Incredible Machines, where he is responsible for the interaction design and look and feel of most of the projects developed by this studio. He previously worked as a Director in DAf, a film production company in Santiago, Chile, and has taught at several Design Schools.
He has directed and/or been involved in projects for clients such as Beck, Nike, Lincoln Motors, Samsung, Pepsi Co., Manchester United, Concha y Toro Winery, among others.
He is also an independent musician/composer in his free time.
I love all things visual, especially the ones that are moving, and even more the ones that you can interact and play with.
I’m interested in exploring new models of interaction using novel technologies, designing experiences that make people happy, and making those experiences visually attractive.
Teaching is a strong passion of mine. For the past twelve years I’ve been teaching at different Design Schools. Recently, I’ve taught a programming class at the MFA in Design & Technology at Parsons in NY, a Major Studio class at the Design School at Universidad del Desarrollo (Santiago, Chile) and several motion-graphic related courses at several Chilean Universities.
